The sign was a prominent feature of the Dallas skyline for many years, but it fell into disrepair in the 1980s. In 1984, the Magnolia Building was demolished, and the Pegasus sign was removed and placed in storage. In 1999, the sign was restored and reinstalled on the roof of the Omni Dallas Hotel, which was built on the site of the Magnolia Building. The sign was then relit and became a new iconic landmark in Dallas, even being featured in the popular TV series �Dallas�. The sign is now a symbol of the city's history and continues to be an important part of the Dallas skyline and culture.
